The WYLD at Friedrichstadtpalast

THE WYLD at Friedrichstadtpalast – seen by more than 650.000 visitors up to now – claims to be wild as Berlin. A Vogue journalist described the show as an "intoxicating and seducing trip through the metropolitan wilderness". Becoming curious at last, we got sunday tickets for the huge show with its glitzy-glam Vegas-style production including wenn trained young men, long legged showgirls, a high-tech stage and loads of special effects and hightech. It has more than 100 professional dancers, dressed in 500 stunning costumes, designed by the french star designer Thierry Mugler. And what is it all about? The extraterrestrials are among us. Anyone who drifts through Berlin at night can sense it. Among them a diva, who lives in Berlin’s TV tower and feels more drawn to the aliens than to her fellow human beings. A love between heaven and earth? This requires the powers of Nefertiti. Her bust on Museum Island makes her Berlin’s most famous inhabitant. Every night she comes to life as the extraterrestrials’ queen. But where did she come from and what has kept her young for 3,400 years? Now that we've seen it: No more words: If you are coming to Berlin and want to enjoy a flamboyant stage spectacle in a breathtaking goosebump atmosphere – then THE WYLD is what you should go for. Amen.
